Hi, I'm Camille Battaglia with Heavenly Hookups Podcast. And I just wanted to check in with you and share a message that's been burning on my heart. It's just a quick little message, but I thought it might encourage you. My pastor brought this up the day after Christmas, and I just thought you might be interested in this as well. And the question is, how do we keep Christmas going throughout the year? Many believers and unbelievers love Christmas, and they love the lights. They love the giving and they love the music, well all of that represents Christ. The lights represent Christ. The giving is something that we're called to do anyway, we're called to love. We're called to serve and to give. And there's no reason we can't do that throughout the year. And the music is worship we were created to worship. If you listen to joy to the world, the Lord has come that's worship music. And there's no reason we can't tap into that every single day and feel that Holy Spirit love. And so I just want to remind you to try to keep Christmas going throughout the year, regardless of what's happening around you. If you need some great music to listen to, and great artists, Phil Wickham, and Brandon Lake from The Messengers, the Chosen it's just incredible! And they have a playlist and you can watch it. It's just amazing. And you can tap into their holy spirit anointing just feel the presence of the Lord. And just anytime things are a little chaotic and a little out of control, you can just stop in the middle of your day and take a praise break. Take a praise break several times a day and you'll be amazed at how much better your day is. I just started doing this a couple of weeks ago and it just made all the difference in how I feel throughout the day. I don't end up carrying all these burdens. I just suggest that you might want to give that a try to help keep Christmas alive throughout the year. I also want to share with you that there've been many years where I had a New Year's resolution, that I was going to read the Bible this year, but then that was the one that I always seem to fail at. And it's because I started at the beginning and I didn't know, I didn't know where to go. I couldn't understand it. It wasn't clear to me so I just want to give you a couple suggestions in case you're making that a New Year's resolution this year that you could start in Psalms that's where David wrote worship songs to the Lord. There's Psalm 91 you might be familiar with and Psalm 23 is very popular. Then there's Proverbs which is David's son talking about how to live your daily life. You'll probably recognize a lot of phrases in there and you'll see that they come from the Bible, but it talks about practical ways about how we're supposed to live. And then there's Isaiah has a vivid picture of the coming Christ. Isaiah 61 talks about the crown of beauty for ashes, for the oppressed. Then you could also go to Luke 2 where, the beginning happened with Jesus being born. You can go to Mark, Matthew and John as well, Ephesians is very encouraging. So you don't have to start at the beginning. You can start in these different places. And I'd just like to suggest that you just marinate on it. You just look at one verse and you just chew on it, you absorb it. It's not a novel that you have to race to finish. It's not a school project where you have a deadline, but just enjoy it and try to receive what God is trying to say to you. And if you're still not hearing it, just ask the Lord to open your eyes, your heart, and your ears to hear properly and he'll help you. He'll help you. And you'll see that this is a living breathing word, and you'll start to feel it, and it will give you peace and understanding and direction. I just want that for all of you. If you're thinking I'm a sinner. God's not going to help me. He's not going to listen to me. You have to understand that Paul was a murderer and he wrote most of the new Testament and then Jesus saved that last soul on the cross before he died and he was a thief. So if God can use those two men, how much more can he use you? So there's nothing that God can't save and there's no person he can't save, God so loved the world he gave his only son in John 3:16. He loves you. He knit you in your mother's womb.(Psalm 139.13). I would be remiss if I didn't mention Genesis 1 where God made man in his image, he told him to have dominion, to be fruitful and multiply. There are so many great places to dig into the Bible and I hope you find them captivating and nourishing. Don't you think you owe it to yourself to find out if Jesus is real or not?
